Reincarnation

Reincarnation is refuted by all the main monotheistic religions of the world. The reason for this is that it is against their basic teachings of a finite life for the human upon which he/she is judged and rewarded accordingly.

What does the Bible say about reincarnation?
None of the Biblical passages support the idea of universal reincarnation.
Does the church believe in reincarnation?
“When ‘the single course of our earthly life’ is completed, we shall not return to other earthly lives: ‘It is appointed for men to die once’ [Hebrews 9:27].
There is no ‘reincarnation’ after death
Was Elijah reincarnated in the Bible?
If this is what first-century Jews were expecting, John the Baptist could not have been Elijah. He was not the original prophet Elijah reappearing on earth. He was a different human being altogether, born through reproduction to Zechariah and Elizabeth. In that sense John was correct to affirm that he was not Elijah.
